Pudu Chan Fatt Wanton Mee, Damansara Uptown

Pudu Chan Fatt Wanton Mee; a shop specialised in noodle; wanton mee in particular and roasted meat. This is not an ordinary wanton mee shop as it has a long standing history dated back in 1955. It used to operate in the Pudu Market back in 1955 to 1996. 



And NOW – in 2017; the family members of its founder is bringing this perfect bowl of wanton mee a comeback for its loyal customers to enjoy. Today, the NEW Pudu Chan Fatt Wanton Mee is conveniently located at Damansara Uptown. [Damansara Uptown might be a place that you can’t find parking. You can park at Starling Mall located right in the middle of this commercial area and walk out to your makan place].

This NEW Pudu Chan Fatt Wanton Mee offers a long list of noodles, roasted meats and rice bowl choices. The best part: the homemade yet delicious dishes are sold at a really affordable price that you can afford in Damansara Uptown.

Noodles

This is the classic char siew wanton me, RM7.50; the essence of its long standing history. The wanton mee served is made in-house with the traditional way of kneading and rolling with a huge bamboo pole. And its roasted meat aka char siew is freshly made in its kitchen along with the meaty wanton aka soup dumplings.



A bowl of hot pipping noodle with delicious homemade lion head meat balls, RM8.50. Lion head meatballs is something unique on this menu. Usually, this lion head meatballs is served as a dish in a traditional Chinese banquet dinner; with red and brown laden gravy on a bed of chinese cabbage. Now, you can have it with your favourite bowl of wanton mee or kuey teow or rice vermicelli on a daily basics.  






This is the alternative to wanton noodles; Sui Kaw Noodle RM8.50 which comes with 3pcs of large sized homemade dumplings aka Sui Kaw. A type of comfort food that you'll be craving for after a long day at work.





A porky-licious bowl of Lam Yu Pork Noodles, RM8.50 comes with generous pieces of deep fried lam yu pork, fried pork lard and noodles. The pork fillet is marinated with great flavours before deep frying in hot oil and the pork lard add some texture to the noodles. You'll be craving for more.





A menu is not complete without some curry or spicy dishes. Curry lovers will be delighted to know that Curry Laksa with Chicken, RM7.50 is on the new menu. It comes with a flavourful bowl of curry topped with generous pieces of chicken meat and the usual curry lasksa condiments such as dried beancurd (taufu pok), fucuk and a lime wedges to spice up your meal. 






Roasted Meat and Rice Bowls 

The New Pudu Chan Fatt also offers rice bowls dishes on its menu. This rice menu focuses on its roasted meats as the core. Among the roasted meats available daily are roasted chicken, duck, crispy pork (siew york) and pork (char siew). As for rice, you can pick from a choice of White rice or Hainan rice (also known as oiled rice). Both types of rice are priced at RM1.50 for small and RM2.00 for big size. If youre an adventurous person, you can go for a combo rice option where you can choose from either 2 or 3 types of roasted meat combination. 



Besides these roasted meat options, there's other rice options such as curry chicken rice RM8.50 and poached boneless chicken rice RM7.00.
